Roasted Chicken Pasta
I don't know what got into me today. I start the day by being super lazy to do almost anything. Even too lazy to take a bath.. *smelly me*
But during lunch I started being super excited to cook fancy food. So I called my house mate, Winda, to ask if she is hungry or not. She agreed to have lunch together. So I decided to cook Roasted Chicken Pasta for two portion. Two BIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGG portion.. Lol
To make this menu, there are two separate food we have to prepare. First is the Roasted Chicken. Second is the Pasta. Here are the step by step of how to make it.
Disclaimer: *this recipe is for TWO adult portion*
Roasted Chicken
Ingredients:
1 pcs of Chicken Breast (about 200gr)
1 tbs Olive Oil
1 tsp Dried Oregano
1 tsp Dried Basil Leaf
1 tsp Garlic Paste
1/2 tsp Pepper
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Butter (for Roasting or Pan Frying)
How To Make:
- Mix all the ingredients together until it evenly cover all the parts of the chicken.
- Marinade for at least 30 minutes.
- If you want to roast it: Put Butter on top and under the chicken that has been marinaded. Put in in the oven for about 20 minutes at 180 Celsius. Make sure you flip the chicken every 5 minutes.
- If you're too lazy to roast it (like me), you can pan fry it: Prepare a non stick pan. Heat up the butter in a small heat. When all the butter is melted, put the marinaded chicken. Flip the chicken every 5 minutes. Pan fry until it is Golden Brown (usually about 10 to 15 minutes).
- Put the cooked chicken in a plate.
Cheese Sauce Pasta
Ingredients:
100 gr Pasta (boil it until cooked)
1 tbs Butter
1 tbs Garlic Paste
1 tsp Dried Oregano
1 tsp Dried Basil Leaf
1/2 tsp Pepper
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Salt
200 ml Milk
1 slice of Cheddar Cheese
1 tsp Corn Stracth + 3 tsp water (mix well in a separate bowl)
How To Make:
- Melt the butter in a pan. Put garlic. Mix until it smells nice.
- Add Oregano, Basil, Pepper, Nutmeg, and Salt. Mix until well combined.
- Add milk. Then add the slice of cheese. Mix until the cheese is all melted.
- Taste it. If it is too salty, add more milk. If it is not salty enough, add more salt.
- If the taste is already perfect for you, add the corn stracth mixture a little by little until you get the consistency that you like. I like mine creamy like a cream.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce. Mix well.
To combine in an awesome plate:
- Put the pasta in a neat circular way.
- Put the sliced roasted chicken on top of the pasta.
- Put garnish. If you're too lazy like me, just put chilly sauce or tomato ketchup for garnish..LOL
- Abracadabra! You've just made yourself a simple but "quite sophisticated" meal..
Enjoy your meal...:*
Bon Appetit..
