Giordani Gold is one of the product line of Oriflame, a Swedish cosmetics company that sells its product through multi-level marketing scheme. Oriflame itself is very popular in Indonesia and adored by many women of Indonesia. I personally rarely used Oriflame, but I have to give it a try on one of their premium line, Giordani.

Giordani Gold Voluptuous Lipstick is designed to be one of Oriflame luxury line that are inspired by the elegance and elusive of classical Italian lifestyle. Each of the Giordani Gold Voluptuous Lipstick is sold for IDR. 198.000 which is actually quite a premium price for a lipstick. Its luxury is obviously shown by its packaging. The lipstick is packaged in a very exclusive and sleek glass package, decorated with gold details. I personally adore the packaging.



The shade that I decide to get is called Fuchsia Petals. It is a settle red dipped with just a scent of purple in their shade. The product however offer two other shades that I did not get.



The amount of product inside the package is not as generous as what I've expect it to be. The shape of the lip product is like a small tube with a flat top. I personally prefer the traditional lipstick shape that has a more narrow shape at its top to make the application on my lips becomes easier. However, the round flat tube shape of the Giordani Gold lipstick makes it a bit challenging for me to apply.



The consistency of the lipstick itself is very velvet and moisturising. It is super moisturising that it adds an instant glow. Honestly it is not a good thing for a matte lover like me. Just like any other moisturising lip product, the Giordani Gold lipstick needs an extra swipe on the application for perfect pigmentation.





The application in my lips tends to make my face looks a bit older than I am. It is super glossy which I am also not a fan of.



This is what it looks like after finishing one meal. As you can see that all the product has disappeared in my lips. But if we look closely the lip product leaves a tinted red to my lips. So yes it does stains a bit.


FINAL RATING:
I will give the Giordani Gold Voluptuous Lipstick a 6/10. I like the packaging so much. The moisturising effect does helps too. However, I am not a fan of its colour and its consistency. The pricing is also a bit overpriced for this quality in my honest opinion.

I am just so into nudes. That's why I sometimes go crazy when finding nude lips products. Especially if it is drugstore products. I adore..!!! Unfortunately, sometimes the colour looks good on my hands, but pale on my lips.

Those lip colours that were too pale on me used to be just thrown out in my makeup basket to be untouched. Recently I've been experimenting on mixing on lip colours. The pale, mixed with the darker lipsticks or lip gloss.

The result is stunning! What I love about mixing colours is the fact that the colours actually tend to be build-able. If you want darker shades, just put on more of the dark colours. And if you want lighted shades, you just need to do the other way around. This is just a great solution to have new colours to your lips without even buying new ones.

One of the most favourite mixture of colours that I love recently is the Maybelline Bold Matte in MAT7 mixed with the Maybelline Velvet Matte in MAT12. I love the after result of the soft nude peachy pink colour that is so much suited for a natural everyday look.

I can't wait to experiment on more colours!

I am not a big fan of red lips for daily makeup. I just don't get the confidence to wear such colors to work. However, I just felt so comfortable wearing this particular red shade. The shade is not too "flashy" for work. The red lipstick have a purple undertone to it making it more settle for usage.

I also love the tingling effect with mint scents that it delivers just right after applications. The color is very true when applied. However, the after effect is not as matte as most matte lip products. This particular lip product have a slight shine effect to it. It is also not "kissed-proof", thus needed continuous touch-up during the day.

There has been a super hype in Indonesia lately on this Purbasari Matte Lipstick. This product has been one of the most wanted lip product for most Indonesian women. This lip product is super affordable. The super high demand makes it super hard to find.

I bought mine at the Guardian Kalibata City Store. They don't have the complete shade. I chose to buy the shade Crystal (No.90). The store does not have Testers to try on. They don't also supply all the range of colors.

Surprisingly, the texture of this product is not too bad. It glides on quite well. The pigmentation of the product is also quite outstanding. They have a very sweet scent like a Framboise Syrup.

So well done Purbasari! It is worth the hype!

Botanica is one of the brand that my makeup lover friends quite talk about. Not just because of the affordable price, but also because the quality.

Because of the hype, I've decided to give it a try on their lip product. The first one that I bought is the Intense Vivid Color Series.

The product itself is a super creamy and sticky texture packaged with a wand applicator just like any other lip cream products in the marketplace.

The texture is super creamy and sticky. I felt that it is more like a glue than a lipcream. It is fragranced with a very strong candy like scent. I love how it is scented.

When applying to lips, this product needs quite a time to perfectly set. Once it is set, it will become matte and unstransferable. After it is set, I find it quite difficult to remove well. Even with a proper makeup remover. In other words, this product does stains!

For the color, I think I've chosen the wrong shade for my skin color. I chose this color based on the recommendation delivered by the shop attendance. However, this shade is just too neon for me.

I adore matte lips! I just can't get enough of it. I usually go more with light nude shade color. But this Latte Confession shade just makes me fall in love again and again with the shade. I love how the color pops out and how the color matches with an everyday makeup.

This product is super long lasting. Once it is set perfectly to our lips, it will stay on the entire day without a significant needs to touch up. It is also kissable. Very important for my case. However, if we have dried lips, it will exagerate the dried lips. Yuck!

Another downside of this product is the aftermath when eating greasy food. The texture will breakdown and create small chappy peaces. It will easily break when we rub our lips constantly.

Aside from its downside, this product is highly recommended for everyday looks until party looks.

Since this is still the very beginning of the year 2016, I think it is still a great moment to update on my 2015 makeup favourites items. There items are the things that I use solely almost every single day during 2015. So here are the products!

FRAGRANCE

I am a huuugggeeee fan of sweet scented smell. I usually love to use "candy like" scent. But I don't know why that in 2015, I am quite obsessed with a slight of floral scent. Madonna's Truth or Dare Eau De Perfume represents the battle that humans face and that coexists in us all. This fragrance is a sexy and contemporary reinvention of a classic and robust signature white floral fragrance. The top notes are gardenia, neroli and tuberose. At the heart of the fragrance lie the scents of jasmine, white lily petals and benzoin tears. At the smouldering base of the fragrance are the extracts of vanilla, amber and sensual musk aura. This perfume is quite long lasting. I went to work at around 09:00AM till 04:00 PM and the fragrance still stays on well. Another thing that I love about this perfume is the price. FACE

My 2015 favourite face product has to be the L'oreal Mat Magique BB Essence. What I love about this product is it's great coverage for such a light makeup. The coverage also stays on perfectly for quite a long time. My skin is Oily Combination. I am mostly oily, but there are several corners in my face that is very drying. The only downside I felt on this product is the fact that it can make our face super oily if we don't set it with enough powder. However, I still love it very much due to its consistency and coverage. I bought mine for about IDR.150.000 in Matahari Department Store, Jogja City Mall, Yogyakarta.

CHEEKS

For blushes, I adore the Lancome Blush Subtil in shade Chedar Rose. Since I am quite obsessed with the Matte Look, this blush is perfect for the look. The shade is a soft dark pink. The texture is like a very pigmented powder blush. It is delicate and oil free. This blush is quite pricy but I never regret my decision to purchase it. This blush is about IDR.500.000. Bought in Centro, Ambarukmo Plaza, Yogyakarta.

LIPS

The Sleek Matte Me Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream in shade Birthday Suite is a great every day shade that can compliment my daily matte look. The shade is a creamy pink shade. What I love about this product is the shade that are able to match with every look and also the ability of this product to last well in my lips even after eating and drinking. This lip product is also affordable. I bought mine for IDR.150.000 from a friend of mine that helps me to purchase this product from an online shop.

EYES

If I have 3 wishes, I might use one of it to wish for longer lashes. Yes.. I am those girls who almost have no lashes. That's why I am always super paranoid when having to use false lashes. My sister actually introduce me to the Bourjois Twist Up The Volume Waterproof Mascara. I fell in love with this mascara right after my first try. This mascara have a multy-function application wand that we can twist into two different effect. The first effect (number 1) is for lengthening, while the second effect (number 2) is for thickening. I combine both effect on my daily basis makeup look. The result? I loveeee it!!!! My lashes looks super full. I bought mine for IDR.200.000 in Sogo, Plaza Senayan, Jakarta.

BODY

When it comes to body care, I am not that good on it. I am super lazy on putting body butter or body cream each day everyday. I am quite picky on the things I put on my body skin. I never like things that makes me super greasy for quite a long time after application. So that's why I felt in love with Wardah Hydrating Aloe Vera Gel. The product is able to moisturise and hydrate my skin well during the day and night. It soaks to my skin right after application. The price is super affordable. Only IDR.45.000.I bought mine in Wardah Store at Ambarukmo Plaza, Yogyakarta.

HAIR

Just like body care, for hair care, I don't really like to invest much on it. I am just too lazy to deal with my hair. I am also not quite skilful when it comes to hair styling. I rarely style my hair in a daily basis. However, I am in love with Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Shine Spray because I felt that every time I style my hair with it, it becomes very easy to control and also make the hair style stays on in a quite long time. The after effect of this product is that it makes my hair super shiny and smooth. This is also super affordable. Only IDR.45.000 and can be bought almost at every local groceries store.



Whooootttt!!!!!! Almost forget to write about my ultimate skin care favourite in 2015. It is the L'oreal Revitalift Laser X3 New Skin Anti-Aging Power Water. The power water is just perfect for my oily combination skin. It hydrates well without making my skin feeling extra oily. The water texture of this product makes it very fast to be absorbed by the skin. I felt an instant hydration and extra glow whenever I am using this product. I don't quite remember the price of this product, but I believe it will be somewhere around IDR.200.000.

So that's it for my 2015 favourites. I don't know if I will fall in love with different product in 2016 or will still be using some of my 2015 favourites this year.
