It was a super tiring day at that time when in Bangkok.We've just arrived at Bangkok, and haven't got the time to rest at our hotel. We took a Ferry Boat to Khao San Road, Bangkok, Thailand. We had heard a review about a great place to eat Tom Yam at that place.

The place is called "Tom Yam Kung". This place is quite hard to find since it is not directly seen in the main road. But instead, we have to walk on a very small street first to reach this place. But if we can have access to the Google Maps, we can easily spot that "small street" I was talking about.

Although the restaurant looks a bit "fancy" compared to other restaurant in that street, for the price it is quite affordable and reasonable. The restaurant also provide credit card or debit card transaction. This makes it easier for international tourist like us that needs to save up cash in the beginning of the trip.

The portion of the food is quite a big portion. So it is more recommended to share the menu with friends or families. I ordered the seafood Tom Yam and the Fragranced Grilled Chicken. The taste??? It is theeee booommmmssszzzz...

My favourite menu of all is actually the dessert. The Mango Sticky Rice. The Mango is very ripe and the sticky rice is sweet. It has a delicious coconut scent to it. It is also served with fragranced coconut milk and creamy coconut ice cream. So mouth-watering!!! This dessert is the dessert I've missed the most in Bangkok.

When my husband and I were planning for our Bangkok trip, we've made one ultimate promise. (((We will not shop))). But oh come on... You know that it is impossible to do when you visit Bangkok right??? They sell the best price for garments, fashion, and decoration. So we broke the promise... We visit the Chatuchak Weekend Market >.<

We received the recommendation to visit the Chatuchak Weekend Market from my best friend who has been living in Bangkok for quite a long time but currently living in the UK. She said that the Chatuchak Market is only open during the weekend (Saturday and Sunday). So if we happen to stay in Bangkok during the weekends, this market is a must to visit.

The market itself is very accessible. We can just go to Mo Chit BTS Station. The market is just right across the station, a five minute walk from the station. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is so big. It is almost impossible to go through every single corner of the market in one day. The market also sells many different things from fashion, food, souvenirs, arts and crafts, until animals and pets.

You will be super surprised with the price offered in Chatuchak Weekend Market. It is ridiculously cheap!!!! Just be careful not to spend too much in this market since the temptation to buy everything we see in this market is very high.

One thing that I adore from this market (aside from its super affordable price) is the sellers. The sellers can speak simple english conversation so it is very easy to communicate or bargain. Remember that in order to be able to get the best price, we have to bargain in this market. But just in case we don't bargain, the starting price is already affordable.

With all the hype and happiness visiting the Chatuchak Weekend Market, there are several things that we need to be aware from. First is the peak hours. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is not fully supported with air conditioner. So if we come during lunch time and peak hours, it will be hell hot! My husband and I came to Chatuchak Weekend Market at around 09:00 AM. I think it is perfect. Although several shops are not open yet during the time, but most shops are already open. There are not too many person during this time. We finished our shopping experience at around 11:00 AM. That is when the crowds started coming. Second is the pickpockets. The Chatuchak Weekend Market can be very crowded. Just be aware of the pickpockets. My tips for this case is to bring just enough money to shop. Then put it in a very small wallet separately from the main wallet. This will prevent us from continuously opening the main wallets that have all our credit cards in it. Other than the two things to be aware of, the rest is fine. Just enjoy the shopping!

Street food is also one of the ultimate attraction in Chatuchak Weekend Market. There are many tasty food that we must try! One of them is the vegetable spring-rolls with sweet Thai chilly sauce sold in the street just before the main entrance. It super tasty and affordable. Only 20 Baht (around IDR.8000) per portion (6 spring rolls). Another must try food is the coconut ice cream. This is the culinary star of Chatuchak Weekend Market.

There are many stalls selling the Coconut Ice cream. But the legendary one is the green food stalls with coconut hanging on it. To reach this stall, just enter the main entrance of Chatuchak Weekend Market. Go straight until you reach another road. Turn left on that road. The green food stalls will be somewhere along that road.

With only 40 Baht to spend (about IDR.16.000) to spend, we can get a very delicate and rich coconut ice cream, coconut fruit shred, two toppings, and one glass of refreshing pure coconut water. The taste of the coconut ice cream is quite similar to the Indonesian Es Puter. The ice cream is very rich in flavour. I highly recommend the Nata De Coco (coconut cubes) as the toppings. It is damn good!

So the highlight of our visit to the Chatuchak Weekend Market is that if you promise yourself not to shop during your stay in Bangkok, please reconsider it. If not, you will regret it. Lol

When I was a child, I used to looooovvvveeee Hello Kitty. I have tons of their collections. From dolls, toys, play-dough maker, pillows, beddings, until toothpaste. They are cute and always uses the colour pink. Well, like what almost the majority of girls are like... Yes.. I like Pink.. ^_^

In December 2015, my husband and I make a super short escape to Bangkok. We actually have to attend a friend wedding. But since we haven't gone abroad yet after our marriage, so we extend the stay a bit longer to travel.

While we were walking to search for a toy store, we stumble upon a very cute cafe called Hello Kitty House. This cafe literally flipped my mind!!!! I was sooooooo excited to experience the cafe. My husband? Don't ask... Just don't ask how his expression is... lol

The cafe is located just across the Paragon Mall in Bangkok. It is very accessible to the Siam BTS Staton. The mall is called Siam Square. Enter the mall and just walk straight until the other end of the mall. The Hello Kitty house is located right in the other side of entrance door.

The cafe basically sells many kind of desserts. Of course in all of their desserts they have a Hello Kitty picture in it. The decoration of the cafe is all about Hello Kitty. It's like having a tea party at Hello Kitty mansion. The cafe also play the Hello Kitty jingle music all time, every day. It is cute at first, but believe me... This song will be stuck at your head if staying in the cafe for more than 1 hour. hahahaha..

The dessert that I buy is the Hello Kitty Strawberry Shortcake. Although the shape of the cake is ridiculously cute, the taste of the cake is not as cute as it looks. I have to be honest that the taste of the cake is not as good as the cakes sold in many Indonesian upscale bakery. However, the drink that I order is super refreshing. Their Virgin Mojito is so tasty and refreshing.

For the price, it is not too affordable. Compared to several Bangkok desserts that I bought during my stay in Bangkok, the Hello Kitty cafe does not offer the best price. For me, the price is a bit pricy compared to the quality of the cake that we pay for. However, for the experience, it's worth the pay.

I have to admit when it comes to entertainment and creativity, Bangkok has its game!
