Last month, I receive the Skin Aqua Sunscreen set inside my Beauty Treat Box. Even though it is in a sample size, I was very happy to receive a fair amount of sample size on all of the available variants of   the Skin Aqua Sunscreen.

Skin Aqua Sunscreen is another skin care product launched by the Rohto Laboratories. The product was seemed to be adopted from a Japanese brand.

Sunscreen is actually a very important routine that most people forget to do everyday. It is important because it protects your skin from damages resulted from the sun. However, many women does not fancy to use sunscreen everyday due to the assumptions that the sunscreen will create oily looking skin. Well ladies.. I think there is no excuse of not using sunscreen. Beautiful skin is a healthy skin. So make sure you always pamper your skin with what your skin needs. Short story short, here is my story about my first experience using this product.

Product Description:

Skin Aqua Sunscreen is designed for a daily use. It is also able to be used on face and body. So this can be an all in one sunscreen that can be effectively used. The sample package that I receive consists of all the variants that the Skin Aqua has. There are 4 different variants to try on that I can decide according to my skin type condition. Here are the detailed variants I receive:

1. Skin Aqua UV Moisture Gel

The Skin Aqua UV Moisture Gel is designed for normal to oily skin. This has SPF 30 protection.

2. Skin Aqua UV Moisture Whitening Milk

The Skin Aqua UV Moisture Whitening is designed for extra lightening and moisturizing. This has SPF 20 protection. Among all the variants, the Skin Aqua Moisture Whitening has the smallest amount of SPF protection.

3. Skin Aqua UV Moisture Milk

The Skin Aqua UV Moisture Milk is designed for a longer UV protection. This has SPF 50 protection. Among all the variants, the Skin Aqua Moisture Milk has the largest amount of SPF protection.

4. Skin Aqua UV Mild Milk

The Skin Aqua UV Mild Milk is designed for dry to sensitive skin. This has SPF 25 protection.

Product Texture and Smell:

The product variance that I decided to try on is the Skin Aqua UV Moisture Gel. The reason why I choose to try this variance compared to the others is because I have an oily combination skin. I worked from 9 to 5 so my skin usually looks very oily during the afternoon.

My first impression of the texture is that it is a more thinner liquid compared to other sunscreen product that I have tried. It is like a water base so it absorbs fast to my skin. I do not have to apply too much product since a little goes a long way. I was not surprised with the unscented smell. My experience with other Rohto products is that I rarely find the product scented. I really love skin care products that are unscented because I felt that it is more friendly to my skin.

Product Experience:

When first applying the product into my face, I felt the cream was very cool and soothing. It is really easy to glide on and distribute evenly. Since it is like a water based texture, it does not take long to fully absorbs and set. After a good amount of minutes, I do not feel any tingle in my face that indicates that the product is gentle to my skin.

Beginning my day at 07:00, the finish look effect from the Skin Aqua is a semi matte look. My skin felt very smooth and not sticky. The T-zone looks a bit glossy.

At 13:00 during lunch, I can see an obvious sign of oil patched in my T-zone area.

At the end of the day at around 17:00, more oil is coming out from other part of my face are.

Conclusion:

The product is not 100% prevents the oil. However, compared to other sunscreen products available in the market, the Skin Aqua Sunscreen is able to control more oil. The sunscreen it self is very gentle to my skin. Will I repurchase? Yes. But I might use it for body instead of face. I think for long term consumption I prefer sunscreen that is designed only for face to be applied in my face on a daily usage.
