I was browsing through online shops in Facebook and I fall in love with MAC FLUIDLINE eyeliner. The eyeliner is in the form of Gel. When the product arrived, that will be my first experience in using Gel Eyeliner. Well, this product does not come in a cheap price. But I think that I have to treat myself by giving my self a present since I'm graduating this month. YAY....!!!!!

I'm actually not a fan of thick makeup. I really like simple and thin make up applied in me. A lot of my good friends asked me about the products that I used for my daily makeup. Well, sometimes when I'm not in the mood for makeup, I'll simply just don't wear any makeup at all. But most of the time, I use simple and thin makeup.

As an undergraduate student, to be honest I could not afford to buy high end makeups brand like MAC, Dior, Chanel, etc. Even though sometimes I save money to buy a couple of those brands, but they just don't become my priority yet. So I really like to buy those not so expensive makeup, but still comes in very good quality. A lot of people called them drugstore makeup because you can get easily at any drugstore, department store, mini market, etc. They comes in relatively affordable price but comes in relatively good quality. Maybelline, and Revlon is one of the example that are considered as a drugstore makeup product. Anyway, lets start reviewing about my daily makeup.

Moisturizer + Foundation
Moisturizer is highly important to be applied every time before makeup. It will moisturizes your skin and prevents it from getting dry. It also helps makeups to stick better at your skin. Sometimes it could also add more glow to your make up. I like to use Maybelline BB cream as my moisturizer. I love this product so much since it is able to brightens skin, covers imperfection, and moisturizes skin. It is also highly recommended since it could cover imperfection in my skin. It is also highly affordable since it costs only around Rp.45.000 or around USD.5.00.



I have very bad experience with acne in the past. This makes me have a lot of acne scars in my face. So to get perfect daily makeup, I have to cover it with foundation for total coverage. Even though for perfect coverage I highly need foundation, I don't really like those thick foundation that really shows that I'm using makeup. So I put my heart for Soft Vanilla Stay True Foundation from Martha Tilaar. Well I'm not quite sure whether this product is sold outside Indonesia or not since Martha Tilaar is one of Indonesian local makeup companies. But I love their products so much because it is highly natural and affordable. For the liquid foundation, it only cost about Rp.45.000 or around USD.5.00. I choose the liquid foundation because when it is applied, it will not go too thick so it will create such natural look. I like to apply it with makeup sponge because it is easier to apply. This foundation also have good oil control.

Compact Powder
I choose the Maybelline Angel Lift Ultra natural Affinity Foundation. I use natural Ochre for my skin color. I love this compact powder so much because it is not too thick on me. It also have like a sort of glittery effect so it adds such a wonderful glow to my face. I prefer to apply it with a brush to gain that natural look. I forgot how much this cost, but perhaps it's about like Rp.180.000 or about USD.19.00. I believe this is cheaper than other popular makeup product, but its is already enough for me to create my everyday look.



Eye Shadow
I have a couple of eye shadow, but my favorite will be my Revlon eye shadow pallet. The color that I use almost every day is the 024 Priceless Metals color. I bought this for around Rp.90.000 or around USD.10.00. Not so expensive for an eye shadow pallet. The color is not too dark, and not too soft. It also matches with almost every clothing color. It makes me look so natural in my Asian skin type. I really like to combine the silver with the dark brown. The silver could be also used as a shimmer for my finishing touch. It really looks good ^_^.


Eye Liner
For the eyeliner, I like to use Revlon Liquid black Eyeliner. It stays very good and very long lasting. It has a very thin tip so that you could apply that thin natural eye line. If you prefer thicker line, you could simply push the brush a little harder to create thicker line. This eye liner only costs around Rp.55.000 or around USD.6.5 if I'm not mistaken. I've bought it like so long time ago so I forgot the exact price of it. Sorry hun... >.<


Mascara
My favorite mascara of the year will be the Maybelline Volum Express Cat Eyes Mascara. I think the bottle is very cute. Not just that, it also creates thicker and curlier look to your eyelash. I forgot the exact price of this mascara, but I believe it comes in a highly affordable price.


Blush On
My favorite blush on will be Maybelline Clear Smooth Mineral Luminous Blush. I choose Soft Mauve for my everyday color. It is in the form of powder so it blends better. It has a very good oil control in it so that you won't look so oily at the end of the day. It is also suitable for sensitive skin so it is good for me, since I also have sensitive skin. This product comes with a very small brush, but I prefer to use bigger and thicker brush for it to get a better blend. Once again I'm so sorry that I forgot the exact price of this product since I've been having this for a very long time since it is very long lasting.


Lipstick+Lipgloss


Oops.. I almost forgot about the lipstick. I rally like to change color of my lipstick. To me, it has to match with the color of the clothing that I wear. I like to use Revlon Nude Velvet for Matte and natural look. Sometimes I use Maybelline B23 Watershine Pure Lipstick when I use darker tone clothing. One of my favorite is Maybelline C11 Watershine Pure Lipstick to be used when I'm using bright color clothing. Sometimes I just use the Revlon Cherries in the glow Super Lustrous Revlon lip gloss. I really like to experiment on lipstick color and get bored with it so easily. That's why I normally don't like to spend money above Rp.50.000 or USD.6.00 for lipstick.

The product is from Lancome, the Vernis Absolu version. They named the color MARS. It's lovely and elegant. It really matches with my skin color. I mean, it looks so natural when applied at my nails and it does not look pale in my nails. I love it so so so much... ^^

It is also comes in very simple packaging. It's packaged in very small bottle so it will be easy to carry for traveling. Unfortunately, I could not found it in the Lancome outlets in Jogja. So I'm really saving the nail polish and treat it as something really precious.. lol

The product is NYX. I'm not quite sure from which country this product comes from, but I've found so many good reviews about them in youtube.

So I decided to try to order some eye shadows and lipstick to try on. I can't wait for the product to arrive. I hope they comes in good condition and in the quality that fits my expectation.

In this post, I want to review on Maybelline BB Cream that I bought at the Maybelline counter couple of weeks ago. I would like to make it clear that I'm not paid by Maybelline for this review. I bought the product with my own money, and does not receive a penny from Maybelline to review this product. So anything I wrote in this review will be purely on my honest opinion about the product.

To be honest, I'm not a make up expert. I'm also not a makeup addict. I don't really like thick makeup applied in my face. I like my make up to be very simple and natural. Sometimes I even have the guts to get out from the house without any makeup on. But when I'm in the mood for makeup, then I'll put very simple and natural makeup on.

Anyway, is there any of you does not know what BB cream is..??? Okay then, I'll explain what BB cream is, special for my lovely readers who are still uncommon with BB cream.

BB cream stands for Blemish Balm Cream. Lately, it is among one of Asia's hottest beauty products. Many sources stated that BB cream is first generated in Germany where dermatologist prescribe it to heal laser skin surgery because it has soothing and skin-regenerating properties. Famous South Korean actresses then began using it for beauty purposes and since Asian dramas are huge all over, a craze was born. The trend that started in Korea first spread to Japan then to South East Asia and is now quickly making its way to Europe and the USA.

Because of the boom in Asia, I'm so looking forward to try BB cream. So I decide to visit the Maybelline store to ask whether they have such product or not. I'm so happy that they have such product ready in store. Below is how the Maybelline BB cream looks like.



It comes in very simple packaging. I like the packaging because it is small, handy, and simple so it's very easy for me to carry it in my bag. It's also very easy to open. You just twist the lid once, and it will come off easily. To take out the cream from the packaging is also very easy. You just have to simply squeeze the bottle and liquid will get out from the package. It's also very hygiene since liquid that has been out from the bottle will not be able to be stored in again.



Above is the picture when the liquid is put in my hand. You can see that the liquid is not thick. It is very light. Just the way I like it. It could give such natural look and glow.

My review to this product will be based on the promises that Maybelline stated in the packaging. The review will be based purely on my experience using this product for about a couple of weeks lately.

Brightens Skin
Maybelline stated that this product will be able to give visible whitening effect. Yes baby.. This is so true. The color of this BB cream really fits with my skin. I have skin color that many Asian woman also have. It's bright and light. Maybelline BB cream is able to give more glow in my face and gives the whitening effect to it. But this does not mean that after using this product my face will look like a clown where its so white. It also does not give a pale look in my face.


Covers Imperfections
This product is expected to reduces the appearance of pores, and skin redness. To be honest my face is full of imperfections. I don't take care of my skin in a good way previously. So there are many black spots in my face created by my past acne. Using BB cream from Maybelline really helps me to cover the black spots. But this does not cover the spots 100%. Perhaps it's because of the lightness of this product.


Moisturizes + Protect
With its SPF 26/PA+++ Maybelline BB cream helps to protect skin from UV rays and free radicals. Well this is a good thing so it's enough for me to not put sunscreen in my face. The moisturizer in this product is also fairly good since it gives additional softness to my skin. It does not make my skin looks dry.


Likes:

1. Simple packaging makes it very simple to put in my bag/purse.
2. Comes in a very great bargain price. I bought mine only for Rp.45.000 or about USD 5.00.
3. Very soft and light so it gives better natural look.
4. It is long lasting that means one bottle will last for more than a month since you only need a little bit to be applied every time you wish to put your make up.
   

Dislikes:

1. There are only one alternative of tones. So you cannot choose other colors because there are one tone only.
2. It only comes in one small size. So if you really like this product and you decide to use it in a long-term, you probably have to go back and forth to your makeup store to buy this product.
3. In my face, this BB cream only last no more than 6 hours. So I have to re-do my make up every 6 hours especially if I'm sweaty. But this perhaps differs among individuals since every individuals have different type of skins.

To conclude, I believe that all of you agree that this product is a good investment for your makeup inventories. It is also a good one to try. I mean, it really is nothing to loose to try this product.
